And in truth what led me here was coaching. Of course there were other elements along the way, but coaching was and still is a foundational part of me designing, creating, and living a life that continues to grow in meaning and purpose.
Over the years, working with a coach has been a place I’ve taken refuge in, as well as a place I’ve come to take more responsibility for my life. It’s helped me navigate many different chapters, changes, and challenges including:
Being on my first Executive Team at a high growth scale-up and finding my voice
Co-founding my own activewear brand with my sister
Defining my own notions of success separate from the gaze of others
Exploring my spirituality and answers to life’s big questions
Dealing with the ups and downs of motherhood
Working with the emotional patterns and limiting beliefs that show up time and again
Cultivating more ease and joy in my life
And so much more! When I thought about one word that would capture the essence of how I experience coaching, it would be power. Which is what inspired the name of my business – Gallos – which means power in Cornish.
It is now a great privilege and joy to coach others - to give back with something that I have so greatly benefited from - helping others find their power.
As a coach, your work naturally becomes a blend and extension of who you are, which I find very freeing, inspiring, and rewarding. Everything that I am and everything that I experience is relevant to coaching. This translates to an approach that encompasses my background in business and leadership, my journey as a wife and a mother, and my commitment to the spiritual path.
I take great pride and responsibility in my role as a coach and continue to invest in my practice and capabilities through courses, mentorship, and supervision.
My current credentials include:
International Coaching Federation Associate Certified Coach
Six-month leadership coaching course with Upbuild
Nine-month coaching course with Alethia
400 hours of coaching with 40 clients
You'll find me spending a lot of time with my husband Dino and our son Odin. As two freelancers we are afforded most of our days together and design our lives around maximising that.
We love spending time visiting family in Norway and Cornwall, and have a soft spot for Porto (the place that held the unfolding of our love). Dino's work as an actor also takes us on new and fun adventures.
My (almost) daily practices include meditation and yoga. I love reading books about great spiritual beings, philosophy, and depth psychology. And since becoming a mother, delving into the world of attachment-based parenting.
I'm very curious about our unconscious mind, dream pscyhology, and what happens when we die!
